Truncated cone .158grn bullet heads

Yep, T/C 158 gn bullets are my go-to... for 25/50 yds I use 4.4 gn of Vhit 320 behind them.

At Phoenix last year i needed some more, so picked up 2 boxes of 500. When i got home i realised the bottom box was actually 158gn RNFP.

I tried some loads with them and i may as well been using a shotgun...!! ended up selling them to someone to recast.

Done same,ordered 500 semi wad cutters by mistake

Another vote for Truncated Cone here!

I use 4.8grn of N320 with a 158grn GM TC in my Uberti Winchester 1873. When I do my part and have a good day, this load will clover leaf at 50 metres.
