not technically original, but I'd just ask Richard H to Cerakote it
Hi chaps,
Does anyone know where I can get the end block of an old 'S' model re-finished to original spec?
I have a very nice one, that's posted on the sale section at the mo' but I've had no interest in it so I think I'm going to restore it.
When done it will be a thing of real beauty.
Thanks
Richard

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Does it really need it? Can't really tell from the pictures on your sales thread but if it is only a little loss leave it as is. It doesn't really look like a "restoration project" to me?
Rich.

I get mine powder coated looks like the original finish to me. You will have to bung up the pin holes or be prepared to clean out after with some drills. Not a big problem though.

I'm with Jon, gloss black cerakote...
Powder coating is very good but it's thick and there might be issues putting it back together. I had a cocking lever powder coated and had difficulty getting it back in, had to locally remove powder coating to get it back in.
Cerakote is thinner, but still adds thickness unlike blueing which adds virtually no thickness to the part.
Thanks for the advice chaps, cerakote sounds like a possibility, I don’t think paint will be hard wearing enough and powder coating would be to thick.
I’ll try and get hold of Richard H
I’ve done dozens and dozens of these
Pop it in the post and I’ll do it in 2 pack black Cerakote next time I do a batch.
It will be absolutely bulletproof then forever have a look at www.cerakote.com for the colour, I can match the % sheen to the original when I mix it up.
Just drop a tenner in a charity box sometime.
Rich
