That is my very close second choice, but for me -- not least because examples can come standard wearing walnut -- the Brum Built Longbow (and to a degree the aesthetically very similar looking walnut Webley Tomahawk) just pips it at the post.

Definitely the HW80. A true workhorse, easy to tune and very accurate. My Airsporter S was a beauty but shame the rails were shallow. I had the FWB Sport too but it just wasn’t as consistent as my HW80’s

Mk1 HW80. That angular forend was so of its time and so distinctive.

Also agree that the Mercury S is lovely looking rifle.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

My favourite classic looking air rifle is the early Airsporters and Club.

My favourite air rifle is something German.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

    Difficult this one...!

It would be hard to choose between these BSA's:
Superstar, Superstar Carbine, Mercury S, Airsporter RB2, Challenger, Challenger Carbine...not an "also ran" between them, all first past the post......
