Ideas for a compact rat/squirrel gun

What do you fellas think to this.......

I thinking about a compact .22 or .25 springer for hunting, I like the simplicity of picking up a Springer and going out shooting without worrying about low air
I only use air power when I'm shooting in woods now so I can shoot up into trees
It's mainly squirrels and rats with the odd bonus woody.
As I'm sitting weight isn't an issue.
I've got a beauty AA prosport in .177 but I'd prefer .22/.25 for this kind of shooting.
Looks fairly easy to re barrel a prosport compared to most guns?
I'm not a big fan of most Spring guns, I want something heavy and robust and well made
    I don't like the smaller HWs , 99,98,95s
I do like the 80 but the stock design is dated
Walther lgu/lgv look interesting but it's not available in .25
I don't really want to get rid of the pro-sport, we have been on journey together
Has anyone rebarreled a prosport in .25? That might be cool??
Has Anyone got or made the gun I'm describing or am I on my own with this line of thinking?
    Good deals with:
Dunn220, Leon, Bullcelt, stink£r, u.k.neil, supersharpshoot, william and airgun god, GEORGEY, telgun, Simon P and stubbs4612, Wellhouse0, harpo

Fluffy on here re barrelled a TX200HC into a .25.

Pretty much the same gun so it can be done.

Not seen him on here in a while.

But if you want .22 just trade the .177 in for a new .22 pro sport.

Just look out for a 2nd hand 80 in a cs500 stock, be a shame to muck about with the prosport, arb Daz

Theoben Fenman is about the shortest break barrel with a silencer fitted out of the factory.

Yeah that would be the sensible thing to do..
Then I'll HAVE to have a peek inside the gun.
Then it'll HAVE to have a new Spring and guide and set back trigger blade the list goes on
But the pro sport is sorted, it shoots spot on
And I'll be able to soften it up even more because I recon a .25 would be more efficient.
But Blackpool air guns have a pretty tasty looking v-mach'ed 80 in in .25 sat in a fancy stock......
    Hmmmmm

I'm not a fan of 'rammers but that's the silhouette of the gun I have in mind

I wouldn't call the 98 a light gun! It's only 500g less than the prosport, and you can order one in .25 to your door for about 400 quid odd

The 77K is the same weight as the prosport and is also shorter and can be had for less than the 98. It also has the bonus of a nice set of open sights.

Bear I mind if you order from Germany you'll have to respring the thing

I've never owned or shot a '98 to be honest
But I have had a '95 but I wasn't a big fan, just never felt as good an an 80
I always thought the 98 was just a 95 in a fancy frock so I've never really entertained them.
I've got my dads 1990 beat up hw77 here after fettling it abit
That's what's triggered this whole rethink.
It shoots like a charm but looks like crap and he won't part with it......
I was all on for buying a 77 but I'm undecided on cal as yet
I want bigger than .177 but not sure how big yet.
Is there a trusted shop to buy from in Germany ?
That would be a new one on me

I ordered a blue laminate 97 and 6 tins of JSB from here back when the exchange rate was decent. Excellent service. Delivered right to your door.

I've also dealt with this company for parts and spares. Again, no problem and good service
