I tried one and did not like it, ended up switching back to the original seal. The original gave much better consistency.

Thinking of one to try in my HW80, any better than a standard HW seal?

IF I WALKED ON WATER PEOPLE WOULD SAY I COULD NOT SWIM !
Not generally better than the HW seals, but they are harder, and slightly oversize, so if you have a loose compression cylinder, they can be useful, and harder wearing for FAC.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
I've used them on Vulcans to replace ptfe seals, obviously a much better seal.. also softer shot feel

Thanks for the input everyone, not inspired to purchase from the opinions expressed so far though.

Buy one of the older style seals if you can i find them better than the new type ones
Strange how my avatars and settings keep getting either deleted or messed around with
Bored at dinner time so went and ordered one! It's all good fun!
Have a theory that the standard seal is so free that it seals OK on the first stroke but not as good after the bounce causing the piston to land a little harder than it might.

Maximus,
The Aussie seals, along with V-Mach, are supposed to be 'fitted' for best results - they are generally slightly over-sized when new.
When Mr. Pope refeshed my Venom Lazaglide TX200, you could clearly see the V-Mach seal had been 'fitted'.
The below is from the Custom Air Seals website : https://www.customairseals.com/produ...m-piston-seal/
CAN BE SIZED TO SUIT CYLINDER OR FITTED AS IS
TOTAL DIAMETER IS 25.50MM JUST OVER 1″
Have fun & a good weekend
Best regards
Russ
Thanks Russ, I will see how it fits and if necessary reduce the diameter a little. I once had a conversation with the Bonnie and Clyde chap and he preferred to let them bed in but this can take a while and a lot of power is lost if over tight, I'm not that patient!!
