    Leon,

The Saddlery @ Westerham do barrel work :

A couple of my friends have had their centre-fire target rifles re-barreled there.

Have fun & a good weekend

    Best regards

its fun to do it yourself. did my superstar and nearly crapped myself a few times. always thinking i was going wrong. got it right though.
i see you say biggin hill. try the RAF. they love playing with guns and have a cadet course that will do it then thank you for it.
comes back re crowned and re blued. free.
the only thing i can find wrong is the nut on the steering wheel.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a 31 cm barrel of the carbine and sell your old longer barrel?
Your barrel has to be shortened, threaded and recrowned. I can't imagine this is cheap...
And who guarantees that precision is superb like before?

With a shorter barrel Your HW100 will be less powerful, You need to adjust power, You have
less shots and it will be louder...

Perhaps an overbarrel silencer will help if available in UK which makes Your gun a bit shorter.

Rather have it shortened from the breach end or you will lose the choke.
