Could be a Haenel MK1V
This probably belongs in another section but it's here because a lot of folk will see it.
It looks like a very early BSA but there isn't a BSA mark on it.

I would say BSA/Lincoln Jeffries. If there are any serial numbers on it post them in the collectors section for a mine of info.
I'll give you a tenner for it
WANTED: Next weeks winning lottery numbers :-)
Thanks, but I think it may be worth more than a tenner.
I will be seeing it close up and in the flesh so to speak tomorrow. It will be for sale at some time.

Looks like a BSA standard to me.

Looks to be a little late for a Lincoln Jeffries (which were made under license in the BSA factory, anyway) due to the plunger release on the under lever (although yes, the last of the LJs had these, too, but LJs are usually associated with bayonet pull under lever catches), so my best guess is also that it is a pre war BSA Standard, but with a home made/after market front sight shroud fitted?
Further, if this is in .22 it is a later model, as the first of these genre -- as made in Brum's BSA Broadheath factory from circa 1904 -- were the number one bore (.177). As to value, providing it all works as it should, in essence, you could maybe double the tenner mooted, and times it by as much as ten, too. Hope this helps?
