    Oaks Summer Open Results

Fair to say the weather today was better than when we set it yesterday (even if it was very cold to start).

Huge thanks to Charles and all the Oakies for this series.

Half suspected that my final round score would see me dip below the trophies, but pleased to pick up the 3rd place; even delighted to see Roger break his 3rd place 'barrier'.

As he's such a shy and retiring sort of fellow and unlikely to comment, would you be able to dig in to the stack to track down Vince's card from today. After a flying start (clearing all but 2 in the field), he did mange to catch me down to achieve a 55. The boost this will give to his final placing is likely to bring a smile

Great series and thank you Graeme for standing in for me!!! Remind me to shave my head for the next photo!!!!😂

Thanks to Charles and the Oakies for some challenging shoots and very well done to all the winners.

Lewis, a well deserved Spirit of the Oaks win, well done.

A great place to shoot and well worth the drive down from over the river!!

Had one of the best days shoot for a while, really enjoyed that. Cracking course set by Charles and some mad giggles with my shooting partner Mr Wood.

Nik has to take some of the blame for today's course!

    Cheers fellas

Thanks to all those willing to give, general tenet of life...you get back what you give..really appreciate the effort

Very well done to all the category winners 👍

Thanks Paul...you said one thing today that stuck with me "let it go Lol", wish I could enjoyed the company mate.

Pleased with my wind reading today...most the misses were the usual lack of concentration

For those of us who refuse to join in the coven that is the spawn of the devil, namely Facebook, is there any other way to view Oaks results?

Used to be able to view Oaks FB pages but it now seems to ask you to join

Have to agree with the above posts, cracking course with some interesting mid range targets. Some northern chap once told me to "believe your scope", it's the best rangefinder there is, especially after you've shot.
    See you all at Horsham.

Great course Oakies - really enjoyed that and that field is such a good 'wind trainer'.
Thanks to Mr Morrison for putting up with me
