Buy plastic plant pot labels or use old ones. Approx 12mm across x maybe 12 cm long. Stick them in a plastic plant pot full of sand and shoot to slowly reduce their height.
Or old pencils.

Ok, just for a laugh...
Part of my shooting is purely for fun. Informal paper punching and DIY plinking targets are great. Here's some of my favourite, what are yours? I need some more information
Very childish, but great fun:
Eggs
Mentos
Various boiled sweets form B&M or Poundland
Toothpaste caps
Beer bottle caps

I often use
Obviously printed paper targets but for laughs :-
The tiny tins that the cat food comes in. matchsticks to try and strike them and a bit of paper with some spots of jam for big fly game hunting.
all at about 20m.
Nothing made from plas or glass.
Plinking is great fun, picking up litter not so much.
Biodegradable targets are my choice.garden peas make a nice splat, pasta pieces, and sugar cubes for longer ranges.
Bb
water balloons and polo mints. with water balloons someone calls a colour and you splat it. polo mints you shoot the hole and not the mint.
one we all loved was balloons with flour in. bit messy, but fun watching the clouds of dust.
when i had an allotment i never used snail and slug pellets, i used lead pellets.
the only thing i can find wrong is the nut on the steering wheel.
For me, nothing beats empty drinks cans.
Parma violets or refreshers at 20 yards in my back garden. Hit them right and they go in a puff of smoke. After an extended session you can then try and hit the wasps they attract.
My empty eye drop bottles.
They jump yards and it is a form of revenge!
My shooting accuracy has definitely improved since using Polo Mints as a target and are my first and only choice these days, I use no other.....Never busted one yet, they go straight through I kid you not......
Used shotgun shell cases.
12, 16, 20, 28, 4.10 all good. Shoot 'em end on or standing up.
Some good ideas there. Looking forward to trying them!
Grapes on golf tees and the bonus wasp .
Firebird exploding targets taped to empty miniature plastic bottles full of unleaded
.243 at 100 yards
Impressive.
A man can always use more alcohol, tobacco and firearms.
Paintballs are good fun.
