American collectables just became a whole lot more valuable?

I was digging around the USPS website and found this:

    https://pe.usps.com/text/imm/fh_014.htm

    In the list of prohibitions:

Arms and parts of arms, or any component classified as munitions of war; imitations and antiques; paint-ball or toy guns; taser guns; air rifles, air pistols, components of firearms, and all other items similar to or resembling the foregoing.

So no more US airguns can be shipped to the UK from private individuals (classified adverts) and possibly businesses in the US! Certainly Bakers now only ship within the US whereas they used to ship worldwide. I believe something changed in this regard back in April 2016.

Interesting that airguns are not specified under bans on arms and ammunition to other European countries, so that's a possible loophole open for now...

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

Which is a great shame when you look at some of the fantastic items currently on offer at Rock Island Auctions: https://www.rockislandauction.com/ca...#LotNumber3329

That's interesting as their website made it clear they don't ship to the UK.

"We currently only ship to all U.S. States, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands (U.S.), and Puerto Rico"

There was a big kerfuffle about DHL banning airguns from Germany to the UK a few years ago. It hasn't prevented dealers from continuing to use the network, fortunately, although it has discouraged private sellers from sending airguns internationally, if the number of eGun sellers who tick the 'no overseas buyers' box is anything to go by. Just making an airgun ban explicit is a tightening of the ratchet.

Talking of the tightening of the ratchet.... the next debate of the Offensive Weapons Bill and with that the new amendment of all airguns, that includes Gats, to be securely stored in a "cabinet"... starts at 2:30 today in the House of Commons...
