Personally I prefer the '95 over the '99.
Times have moved on I agree due to modern materials etc but the HW35 still remains, I.M.O. the King of the USEABLE classics.

Yes, droop compensating mounts. Droop didn't effect all '35s and Ive seen droop on HW80s and '77s. What the '35 DID provide throughout its production run was a decent (read long and deep) scope rail with, get this ARRESTOR holes at a time when Webley was spot welding summat on the cylinders and BSA had curved back blocks causing alignment problems. Later ones had the Maxi rail which was O.K. until you come to to strip the rifle.
I will keep buying them because they can be cheap. The last one, the pre safety B B Delux featured in the photos above (post # 50) came with a re-blued (read excellent) action and cost £130.
