Hi,
As I slowly restore Lincoln Jeffries 711 back to a shootable condition, I am in a slight quandary. Having asked Edbear to weld onto the under lever latch to enable it to be pulled out from the under lever. Ed did this, revealing a a collapsed spring preventing the latch pushing forward. He then couldn't help himself and carried on, cleaning up and freeing the butt plate screws, tightening the stock bolt, refinishing the main spring and extracting the old piston seal.
My query is the trigger guard tang has a wood screw fitted that is wholly incorrect. But what would be a suitable replacement? As nothing is shown on all the usual spares stockists. maybe a Std buttcover screw?
Thanks for your help
Lee
cheers,
I've ordered a std trigger guard tang screw from Knibbs, and I'll see what this looks like once it arrives.
Doh !

Turned up today, there's no tip to the screw, only 2 turns of thread
Mine has a standard screw
Surely you could source a raised countersunk wood screw in one of the diy stores?.
