Mike, I've got the black 'tactical' stock on my HW30 and it seems to suit most folk, although no youngsters have shot it at the club.

I guess it would be very useful with an adjustable butt pad, and it's a handy and easy to use rifle anyway

I'm well pleased with mine and it's had plenty of pellets through at the club, doing some plinking and pellet testing.

The only issue I had was that the barrel locking mechanism was a bit 'dry', and the action became stiff to open, - a couple of drops of SM50 on the detent cured that

Cheers Paul. I reckon it will be a great starting point for my lad. If i'm honest i'm looking forward to having a little dabble myself too

Oh yes, Mike, you'll be completely mesmerised by the sweet little 30.

And you won't be the first "grown up" to be so.

Such a sweet shooting, accurate and forgiving little sweetheart of a rifle. Only at extended ranges does it start to struggle. They even go mad for them in the States where they have a plethora of high powered tackle widely available to them.

You're going to love it and you'll kick yourself for not having got one before now!

    I couldn't agree more Tony

I was surprised at how well the HW30 performs out of the box, with mild recoil, great accuracy and a solid feel. I limit shooting mine to 30 meters or so on our outdoor range, and out to those distances it's capable of spinning spinners and knocking the knock-overs over

I've got a Sabre 4x32 PX 'scope on mine from JSR and it complements the rifle very nicely

Frosty morning BOING and up we go - and it's nearly time for a some BLATT and some BOING at the range this morning

It seems there will be a few less frosty boings to come in the near future with milder conditions on the way.

Be nice if it stays that way.

Enjoy your Blatt 'n' Boing sesh, Paul.

Not the best of days off, Nick.

It was our gert's birthday today. A succession of visitors all day and then we took the tribe to Frankie and Benny's, as we have two more birthdays on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sorry, I didn't get the chance to have a rummage for that foresight element due to today's chaos, but I will get one found, I'm sure.

    And cheers for the Boing.

    Thanks for the BOING mate

We BOINGED and BLATTED and then we BOINGED somemore

After I’d finished BOINGING, our secretary borrowed my HW30s and BOINGED very enthusiastically

She was very impressed with my gun and wanted to keep on playing with it but we had to have a committee meeting and all the enthusiasm drained from our Boingerage

    BOING and up we go
