Have you tried unscrewing the angled grub screw with an allen key ?

Is it easy to remove the Ospreys front sight unit?
Is it glued on?

The Allen screw usually causes a small raised dimple on the barrel. One the screw is full removed pour some light oil (Balistol ) down the hole and leave it a while. Then gently tap with a soft faced hammer. If that doesn't work it may need warming. You can re dress the dimple the screw made once the sight is off.

The original foresight was plastic and the slightest overtightening would crack it vertically. Later ones are alloy and could be seized if the steel muzzle has rusted. The "dimple" mentioned can make them tight to get off sometimes as well.
The square steel block used on Supertargets can be seriously rusted on, I have had to resort to heat and a brass drift to get them off.
I like those alloy versions, a kind member on here sold me a four new ones, they are handy to fit on any air rifle that needs a front sight.
