Smile Sussex Interclub HFT 2019 - Round 1 Results

    Hi All

And welcome to the first SIHFT Results post of 2019.

BIG thanks to Charles Peal and all of the Mile Oak crew for hosting Round 1, with extra special thanks to Wurze and Jax for preparing some superb fodder, including the breakfast pie.

Almost spring-like weather welcomed us, though you either loved or got trashed by the rather unforgiving breeze up on the hill which one moment would need less than an ‘edge’ and the next second could whiz your pellet from one side of the plate to t’other. As a result, a few (very few) cleared the Downs section, while some sported rather more doughnuts than they’d wish for.

The course certainly caught some of the country’s top shots out, but NOT the likes of Vant, Newton-May, Moore and Hills, coming joint 2nd with 56 apiece, only topped by a very on-form Dibbens with 57 and a 100% start to his SIHFT season. Top boinging of the day goes to our dear Pat F; lovely to see you ‘back on it’, Pat, scoring 54 together with the equally hot Nigel. And Abi is also showing great early-season form (as she has during the Winter too), coming in with a 55.

On a wholly personal note, I was hugely relieved to find that my health has improved sufficiently over the past week to walk a whole course with a gun and (mostly) squeeze the trigger when it was pointing in roughly the right direction

Here is the full set of results …..
