There was a UK magazine called survival weaponry and techniques. They featured airguns and even powder burners . They did and article on the Calico .22lr also.

I had thought of doing either collapsible or removable stock on my Webley Hawk Mk1 (as the barrel can come off). However never got round doing it

The BAM folders (as review by John M is AGW last year) are really not too bad with a little tune. Just the direct trigger that let's them down.
Tuning a springer to have a mild firing clycle at 8 FP is hardly rocket science these days.. mine shoot perfectly well. Available for around £70 brand new, shipped to your door, from the continent (best be quick if Boris is getting in)...
