That is very sad news; he will be missed not only by Crosman enthusiasts, but by the Airgun community in general.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
That is very sad news; he will be missed not only by Crosman enthusiasts, but by the Airgun community in general.

A great loss to us all. but particularly to American air gun enthusiasts who was always generous when sharing his wealth of knowledge.

That came as a real shock, and very sad news to hear. His great historical knowledge of airguns will be very much missed, but his many writings will live on as his legacy.
Indeed, very sad news.

Very sad news, my condolences to his friends and family.
Very sad news indeed - Dean was a valued member on this site and was always prepared to help with questions on Crosmans in particular.
His several books on the subject are the standard work on the subject and a fitting tribute to one of our own.
Our sincere condolences to Dean's family.
John and Jo.
Terribly sad and unexpected news. Dean was one of the real good guys in this little world.
My sincere condolences, obviously, and, if it is not inappropriate, my hope that his vast historical archive will not be cast to the winds but will be acquired by someone similarly dedicated and enthusiastic who can carry on his work. I think he probably would have wanted that.
Very sad news indeed, he will be missed by us all on the BBS. my thoughts are with his family.

Sad.
I still haven't finished his great 600 Book as it is so packed with photos and info.
This is very sad news. RIP
Very sad news. I remember when I started in the hobby 4 years ago, and I posted a Crosman 102 with a beautifully figured stock on the forum. He posted giving me a lot of insight into what I had acquired. He did this many times over the last several years with my finds. I quickly found out what a close community Airgun collectors were and how freely you had access to the real experts. He will be greatly missed.
