Hi all,
Just wondering if any members on here have ever been and used the club at all?
If so what did you think of it?
Rob

It’s only the rifle range I think I’ll use do you know how much it is and is it members only?
From memory you had to register at the shop,to keep Flintshire council happy.
A fiver an hour,or was it two?,and good fun to be had.
I have shot clays there for over 25 years.
Also used the range for zeroing, If you are thinking of going on a Saturday you would be wise to book a 2 hour slot and specify a lane. I think you need to do a range induction on your first visit and sign some paperwork. ( might be worth while to take proof of ID)
It has 8 lanes (from memory) open fronted, each end lane 1 & 8 you can put paper on a board and you can move the board out to about 50 yds all other lanes its spinners, the end lanes usually get booked first so book in advance if you want to shoot paper/zero
Has good parking for the range and a cafe just across from the range, the shop where you sign in is ok but more for shotguns, you can get pellets scopes etc
I don't think it is back open as yet but hopefully this will change soon!
Hope this helps

Thanks all it’s very appreciated and hopefully I’ll see some of you there once all this is over
They have been trying to sell it for months!
Can you recommend anywhere else in the area? Once we’re allowed
There are 2 airgun ranges at nwss, the main one has 10 ‘lanes’ and as said, the 1st and 10th have boards for paper targets, which can be moved via a cable system. The range has various targets, out to 80 yards. The second range is smaller, with fewer ‘lanes’ and less distance to shoot (I dont actually know how long, as I have never been in this range). You have to register in the shop at your first visit, which costs £2, you receive a card on registration, which you have to take at every visit. Last time I shot there, I think it was £6 for 2 hours. If its busy you have to stick to 2 hours, but if its quiet you can generally carry on. I would book whenever you plan to go. They are still closed at the moment.
Andy.
