Question HW 95 / 98 cylinder - Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

Did HW produce any of the early 95/98 cylinders without the safety scribblings?

So far I've been looking for a couple of years to no avail.

    Cheers Steve

    Hw95

Had a couple of early 95's without the safety warning. You'll find the MK1 HW95 with the barrel weight will not have the warning on them. Warning signs came on HW's around 1999 / 2000 models.Mach 1.5

    Hi Paul
    I hope you are well.
I've got a barrel weighted version and that unfortunately has the scribble.....I'll have to find an earlier one.
This was the rifle that 'got' me into 95's & 98's in the first place....they are soooooo good

Very early 98’s didn’t have the safety stamp but they’re extremely scarce. As said, Mk1 95’s are also devoid of the awful stamp. The stamp can be removed but it’s a lot of work as the stamp is deep, meaning the entire side of the cylinder has to be filed to blend in with the removed metal.
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

I’ve got an early 95 without the writing. Mine also has the early cylinder with the cut out like the 85 and the BSF. It’s very smooth.
