What is your favourite type of controversial thread

I quite like controversial threads as we don't always hear what we like but sometimes we still learn some small thing we didn't know, some of the topics just keep repeating, what ones do you still enjoy? hear just a few

    HW 77/97 vs TX200

    .177 vs .22 vs .20

    TX vs Prosport

    TX full length vs HC

    PCP vs springer

Break barrels vs underlevers vs sidelevers

    long stroke vs short stroke

    Is the LGV/LGU overrated

    Is Diana still made Germany

    Best break barrel

    Best FAC springer

    heavy vs light

    and so on

Is it better to all agree or have friendly disagreements? I think we can still pick up more tips when we have friendly disagreements

What controversial thread do you enjoy?

Don't care as long as there are no idiots posting dangerous or illegal advice.

    Anything else is personal opinion.

"Great rifles you could not get on with" I found this thread enlightening. Having not owned a 95 or any AA I had always promised myself one of each based on reviews yet there were quite a few mentions of both.

Is Diana still made in Germany

Going by price, I'd say no.

    A D280 for sale @ £177 new and a new D34 £190 both on GT

    Calibre debate.

If there wasn't such a slim choice of .20 pellets ( Why is that ? ) sub 12ft lbs .20 would be the best hunting cal to use at all ranges.

translate this and read the results . https://www.diana-airguns.de/fileadm...gel/wm1016.pdf

    from the pictures text

    pic 2
The metal components for Diana products are manufactured in Gabrovo, Bulgaria by Gabinvest EOOD.
    pic3
The assembly takes place in Ense, Sauerland, the headquarters of German Sport Guns

I think covers the cheap Diana's other than the rebadged Chinese ones.

Pest control with pistols (quickly - rightly - deleted).

The ones on non-airgun where a couple of guys seriously argue that we’d be much safer if everyone could easily own an assault rifle or machine gun, because, you know, it works in America where almost no one ever gets shot by anyone.

Threads about obscure features of Mayer and Grammelspacher rifles suggesting that those features are superior to those on HWs or AAs.

Most of them get boringly repetitive quite quickly.
The only ones I don't mind are the search for the airgun holy grail i.e. the cheap Chinese springer that demonstrates that all HWxx owners have wasted their money.

But that's only because the Chinese have a supply of ever changing comedy material to feed to all the cheapskates who don't want to save up
