There is a book due out soon on Collectable BSA rifles, that is far superior to any other BSA book.
The only book currently available that is worth buying is 'The Webley Air Rifle' by Christopher Thrale, which is excellent.
the first edition of knibbs book is at knibbs for 350 and a reprint with updates is at 50 pound.
is the reprint with other information worth 50 pound ?

Totally agree with the man above.
I guess first editions will always command a higher price, especially if signed by the author.
I have both editions of the book mainly for completeness as the second edition contains essentially the same content, but with some additional text and a few more photographs.
Unfortunately, it also has a few typographical errors which are not present in the first edition.
So, if you already have the essential first edition, it probably isn't worth the additional outlay to acquire the second edition.
The book I was most disappointed in was The Golden Century also by John Knibbs, especially from an air gun point of view.
