I'm pretty sure the law is JFDI. If it's a commercial vehicle then you need to display a green lozenge sign saying compressed gas on board (other than you ) but it's not mandatory for private vehicles. Obviously (I hope!) you should make sure it's safely secured.
Divers transport them all the time, as do the couriers and delivery drivers delivering them with other items - at no point does anyone's private vehicle or a delivery vehicle which may carry these as part of it's consignment have to legally display a sticker - it's different for commercial use and obviously for vehicles specifically delivering such items in bulk, but rest easy on this one or we would all have been booked already.
