Have an Aeron B96 from days of old. Trying to remove the compensator and not having any joy... Its prob never been removed (I've owned it for 15+ years). It just wont budge. Tried WD40 and all sorts.. Is there anything else I can do before I put it in a vice and forcefully remove it? All help welcome..
Have you tried using a bit of heat? I’m guessing the compensator is aluminium and the barrel is steel, since aluminium had a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than steel it should loosen when it’s heated. Try a hairdryer or a heat gun on low setting.
