Probably best to do a search om here for kral or puncher and read a few threads.
But after some minor niggles I really like my NP-02. I have a few PCPs and this is as accurate as any of them.
Hi I’m returning to the sport after many years and visited my local shop to have a look around and ask advice about buying a gun around £400-500 to start me off. Main suggestion was a Kral has does any one own or owned one. What they like or any suggestions thanks

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.....
Hi thanks I’ve just been looking seems few problems with earlier models it seems. I also thinking of going back to old school and getting a rapid as it was the gun I wanted years ago lol
Theres nothing wrong with my KRAL NP-02. Read the article in this months Airgun Shooter in which I have witnesses seeing me shooting Polo mints @ 47 yards outdoors in the wind on a regular basis with a .22 NP-02.
KRAL v Rapid? You could buy two brand new KRALS (one in each cal) for the price of a s/h Rapid (approx). True the Rapid is better built but twice as accurate?

I have been trialling a kral np02 against a brocock bantam hr sniper costing three times what the np02 does for about five months now. The end result being whichever came out on top will be my new tool for night work.
So far the kral is winning hands down on everything bar two annoying niggles.
First one being the extremely rattly magazine, it's really loud both in and out of the rifle, pellets making a right din when you move the rifle to the shoulder etc.
Second is the very loud resonance coming from the cocking spring on firing.
Other than those two gripes it's awesome for the money. I am already choosing to pick it up in preference to my long time work gun, the BSA ultra se.
I'm pretty much decided that the bantam will be up for sale soon, it's a great rifle, but the kral beats it so there it is.

I guess the only reason you shot the Polos, is that if you miss, you could say you got a bullseye
Ian, did someone do some work on yours to smooth it out a bit (I was thinking regarding Jamie's comments on hammer spring noise, which I know I suffered with on my early Puncher)
They did indeed - but that was my .177 version. Mr Dave Mercer [ looks to the north and bows ] DM80 on here, did a bit of fettling on my .177 version which made the rifle easier to cock and quieter. Maybe worth while giving Dave a PM on here as he is VERY busy.
One slight niggle with both my KRALs is a slight leak. Nothing serious but Ive had similar very slow leaks on brand new rifles costing four times as much.
Re Polos. I did try to explain I went through the hole but my fellow shooters are no suckers.

Great info so far thanks and love the polo shooting lol. Has anyone used the Kral puncher I’ve seen these for sale at £380
Sorry ment Kral puncher pro 500
Where have you seen the Kral puncher pro 500 for £380?
One shot, one kill. Not luck, just skill.
Another vote for the np02 from me mate. Love mine it's a deadly accurate hunter.
Also,got an NP02, crackin rifle,for,the money, reccomended,
J.
ok, I admit it, I've got a problem.

I had a NP02, now got a Np03.
Can’t fault them .
Bought the .22 NPO2 ...then .25 ...then the .177 ….
Like IJ all mine have been to DM80 for his wave of magic hand.
Then I got the .25 FAC jumbo....again to DM80......who described it when he test shot it …..after his "magic"
as "probably one of the best FAC air rifles he had shot"
You are not paying top drawer ££ for the krals …you are not getting top drawer finish ….. but with only a little ££ spent on them ...they can give you top drawer results.
DM80 is extremely busy at the moment …. its no wonder. Top bloke.
Another budget pcp which far outshoots its price ticket [dont laugh] is the Artemis Model 16D. Rapid esq look alike with the bottle on the front. Again this was recommend to me by Mr Mercer - and if he says its good, its good.
The 'Fart & Miss' comes regulated with a gauge plus a separate gauge to show how much is in the detachable bottle. Plus a single shot tray, magazine, silencer (the barrel is already sleeved and a silencer), filler, safety catch, spare seals instruction booklet and a couple of Allen keys. I got mine, (a .177 then I went back for a .22) and a three others for club members for just under £400 each if you shop around. The trigger is adjustable without even having to take the stock off, a side lever action and on a par with rifles costing over twice as much. Do a YouTube search.
Accuracy? Well my personal best from a rest, outdoors shooting at one of those bottle targets which hold .22 blanks in a slight wind @ 47 yards is three blanks in a row! The ONLY thing Ive done to my F&M is adjust the trigger and fit a white line spacer to the rather boring ambi stock.
