For that range, what about a red dot instead?

Hi All,
Out Air Rifle ratting last night on a new permission. One serious hot spot was the feed shed, unfortunately it’s only 4 yards square and my MTC 4-16 X 50 won’t focus down to sub 10 yards with the Pard 007 on it.
So looking for a scope for really up close and personal stuff that can be fitted with the Pard. Are there any new cheap and cheerful scopes that have come on the market or is it still the Hawke 2-7x32 AO and UTG Bug Buster the two go to scopes still?
Thanks.
For that range, what about a red dot instead?

Red dot woul be ideal or laser even.
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill
Unfortunately the little blighters only come out when it's pitch black. As soon as any light is shown there off.
I'd recommend the Hawke 2-7 mentioned. On 2 power and minimum parallax setting it will do the job. What a lovely, versatile little scope.
Is an IR laser and viewer doable? Or an IR holographic and viewer?
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
My Nikko Sterling Panamax works very well with the pard👍
HW100KT,FX Verminator,X2 Merlyn
BSA Superstar,FX Dream Tac Compact,Browning Maxus,Browning O/U,Miroku SbS, Hw97k,HW98,BSA R10, Zbroia Kozac FC.
The Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 is a cracking little scope for what it costs.
Frankly I think its about all you need on an air rifle, good clear optics for the maximum distances you're realistically shooting out to, and the Mil Dot reticule isn't too fussy.
At the minimum 2x magnification it focuses clearly to only a few feet distance away.
It also works very well with the PARD 007, the only slight inconvenience being the front parallax, being a little more awkward than a side parallax.
I have two of them.
Probably ideal for your intended use.
My buddy used my Falcon with one of these for very short range ratting last winter and was impressed by the scope.

To be honest at 4 yards I’d be looking at a 9mm shotgun and an NV viewer taped to it
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
It might only be a 4x4 room but it's quite a challenge as it has to be pitch black for the rats to come out of the holes in the top of the walls and I am trying to negotiate shelving, feed sacks and other general stuff, shoot the rats and avoid hitting the electrics and water pipes running around the top of the room
What about a pitch folk! 😜😂
