    10m Target rifle

Looking at getting an Air arms mpr precision for 10m targets.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of options at that price with most being double and more!
Might have missed something somewhere, any other suggestions appreciated.

If I was you I'd get in touch with Zooma on here, very knowledgeable & quite near you. Don't rule out single strokers either, or even classic spring guns, Feinwekbau, Original Anschutz etc. All more capable than most shooters.

Dont waste yr money on that. Its a mpr, multi purpose, that is, its not very good at ánything..
Take a sechand of ány brand. Itll be better for yr purpose.
Wether it be old spring, ssp co2 or pcp.
mpr is way too light with 3.1kg, (vs close to 4.0 kg of the competition),has awkward rear cocking for the purpose and doesnt have the match trigger the rest has.
Also not the refined non-recoil action like the competition (LG-XT etc), and shot count is very low (my LG300 does 250-300 shots)

Some UK clubs are making life difficult for users of the classic sidelever springers by imposing the silly ISSF rule about inserting a strimmer line that shows at both breech and muzzle. Impossible to do in an uncocked sidelever springer. Worth checking what your club requires and making sure that any gun you buy will comply with their rules. Not a problem with a PCP.

    Gary,

Neil's FWB600, or similar SSP rifle, would be an excellent fit for your needs.

And a much better fit than the Air Arms MPR.

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Welcome to the sport!

Classics are what they say they are, classics! And technology has moved on (a lot!), but don't discount the later SSP's and Co2's.

The best balance of technology and economy is the earlier PCP's such as the Walther LG300, and FWB 700's, some people have funny ideas on value, but all are available in side the price of an MPR and will be vastly superior.

    Welcome, and Have Fun

Agree with John ( now thats a first).

Have a word with Bob (ZOOMA). Im sure he will fit you up - I mean sort you out with summat and for a small fee he will let you try before you buy.

    Have to agree, I have several FWBs, including a 601 & it's a masterpiece!
