Geco and hobby, both made by RWS are pretty good and not very expensive. Well worth trying.

Hi I have just started 10m pistol shooting. I know a lot of people will laugh but my pistol of choice is my new gamo compact SSP pistol. I do love it.
Anyway I’m looking to shoot a decent pellet through my gamo compact so if anyone can help me with this pellet choice it would help me a lot.

RWS Diabolo Basics shoot very well in my match pistols, also several better shots than me at the club use them, also excellent value, especially if bought in bulk,

ok, I admit it, I've got a problem.

FYI there's a thread about fettling the Compact's trigger here- https://www.classicapa.com/viewtopic.php?t=463
Geco are a very good pellet.
The posh version is the R-10 Match
Hobbies are slightly more old school looking with fluted skirts. Some people report these are a tighter fit than the Geco or R-10, which your gun may or may not like.
My 1377 likes the Hobbies best.
RWS miesterklugen (?) from Ramsbottom £6 tin and they come in various sizes so you can work out which your gun prefers, better pellets tend to be softer so fit to rifling easier and anything that gives a specific size will probably have a tighter spec. If you really want to get into it you can size the pellets. With my lp 50 and b96 I use pellets that are a tight fit into the magazine as this tends to size them as well as holding them to prevent stoppages.
