I did some tests a while ago using a springer which showed that the result you may expect from an increase in barrel length from 12" top 18" (about what you may be experiencing) would result in an increase in MV from 95% to 100% (ME increase from 90% to 100%). It is useful to look at the effects as far as PCPs are concerned since the rise in pressure is quite different from that in a springer (my passion!).
