You need to have a blast with a BSA Scorpion!
My other faves include steel Webley overlevers (Secretly, They are IJ's fave too!), BSA Magnum 240 and An Acvoke that I have

Hi folks,
I have a hankering for a spring powered pistol for the garden range, I'm currently using an old p17 but fancy something a bit different. So come on, what are your favourites?

In no particular order:-
FWB 65
Original Model 10
Weihrauch HW45
video transferred to DVD, USB etc. Old negs and photos scanned to digital media

HW45, Diana 5G, Bsa scorpion, Bsa 240 Magnum,
Dave.
I like the overlever design a lot, 45's, webleys, BSA Magnum etc. But for pure plinking pleasure it has to be a break barrel, and the Original mod 5 is just perfect! It is good looking, fast, a decent size, plenty of can ripping power and accurate. I like the mod6/10 as well, but for plinking you need recoil.
There is one in sales right now that I have only not bought as sending it international is a hassle.
I have a Browning Buckmark which is less powerful but cheap. A good alternative if you want new. https://youtu.be/nMSXwd40qZ4
I have a nice Original 5 for sale at the moment, accurate, with punch and a nice trigger.
It’s on the sales board
Cheers Ian
How about a nice Original Model 10? As accurate as an accurate thing.
Edit; apologies Tony T already mentioned.
I plink with a Webley Tempest and a Benjamin Franklin (front pump) both .177, my range is 6yds in the garage
.
scorpion, HW45, Gamo Center, BSA 240 Mag with a lot of tuning
For accuracy, FWB65, GISS mod 6/10, but as Tinners said, plinking and fun = recoil
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Cheers folks some food for thought. I do like the look of that scorpion! Pity I was too slow for the original 5. I see things don't hang around long!

Pretty similar to most other people's recommendations.
If I had to pick just the one it would have to be the HW45.
I do also really enjoy my HW70 and Tempest.
Plenty on my wants list.....most especially the FWB65 and 80, Walther LP53 and the Original Diana 5, 6 and 10.
Mr Tinbum...I've always felt attracted to that Buckmark. Seems to be a mild mannered and very accurate pistol for the money. How would you rate it for sturdiness of build and overall quality?
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- May 2025.........BOING!!
BSA Scorpion and FWB65, worlds apart you could say the rough and the smooth but equally enjoyable.

FWB 65 for pure class. Tempest for plinking. LP53 for that Bond moment, but it is a bit of a pig to shoot straight.
Most other things make Stormtrooper guns look good.
