Could have been made for Sears, although I'd expect it to be marked as such.
I'm intrigued enough to ask if you can obtain those photos Matt.
Kind regards,
John
Someone contacted me saying they have a 600 and the only markings on it are ‘CO2 Semi automatic’ and nothing else.
Anyone heard of a 600 like this? If not I might be able to get pics if its of interest.
Cheers,
Matt

I have one with no markings, I will check my albums and stick some photos up if I can find it
Hi Matt,
These are pretty common in Canada.
Not sure why they ceased marking them, but I suspect that cost cutting was the likely culprit.
Many guns started out with a stick-on silver label with black lettering, but these labels are often damaged, or missing, thus, no markings.
This is a pic of a typical silver label affixed to early Crosmans.
This label happens to be on a Mark I, which incidentally, also has no Crosman markings.
Thank you Len.
That's something I had not seen before.
Do you know if the Fairport factory used similar stickers or were they exclusive to Canada?
Kind regards,
John
I cannot be absolutely certain if they were exclusive to Canada or not.
I have seen at least one other variation of the sticker that was about twice the height of the one in the pic. Can't say for sure if that was the US version or not.
The stickers were often applied over the Fairport roll stamp on the Canadian made guns.
Canada did produce some guns with unique characteristics.
There we go,
the person who contacted me confirmed he lives in Canada so it all makes sense now.
Thanks for the info, something else to add to the knowledge.
Matt
I dug my 600 out today for a plink and realised it doesn’t have Crosman written on it anywhere - just “CO2 semi-automatic” in the recess on the right hand side and a number 72 stamped in squint on the flat just in front of the grip and above the trigger on the left hand side. Would the 72 be a serial number?
