the econs are very good , a buddy who shoots an awful lot in his shed swears by them and over the chrono they are amazingly consistent , ive couple of tins and very happy with them for short range plinking , good shout
Normally use Bisley Practise or Hobbys. Was ordering some other stuff, noticed H&N Excite Econ 2 for a bit over half the price of the aforementioned. At £3.50 thought they were worth a try.
Very impressed, used them in my Webley/Diana 'youth' rifles at 6/10m so far. Groups as good - or better - than the more expensive ones.

Excite Econ IIs are superb. Been using them in my pistols for ages and not found anything better for double the money. They also work well in my HW97k and PP700 carbine.
That reminds me... I need another couple of tins.
When the weather warms up, looking forward to using them in the CO2 revolvers, anyone tried them in CO2 pellet firers?

Looks like they are definitely worth a try.
I bought some of the Excite Hammers in .22 from our sponsor a short while ago. Only tested at short range so far but they seem excellent, especially considering the low, low price. I will be trying the .177s in due course.

I've used the econ hammer in my 177 CP1 air pistol and they are really accurate at 10m. They make nice round holes in paper. I bought lots. I expect they are a bit better than the flat heads longer ranges.
Plus 1 for Econs. Used them in my pistols for years.
Walther CP-2 Match, FAS 604 & Tau 7 target pistols, Smith & Wesson 6" & 4" co2 pistol, Crosman 1377,

Also found the BSA interceptor in .177 very accurate in my NP02 …..and a low price
Got the .22 yet to try
Both for close range.
Does anyone know if the excite plinking pellets are as good. I have been happy with the consistency of the Econ 2s but added some of the plinking ones to my last order. I haven't got round to testing them myself yet. They were the same price so don't know if my curiosity has got the better of me and I should have stuck to what I know works. Saying that at £3 a tin it's not much of a loss if they turn out to not be as good.
RWS Basics. Cheap at under £4 for 500 but quality. Ive used them in my Steyr LP10, FWB34, LP400 etc. and scored many a 50 ex 50. I also used them in my HW30 and rested over 10m I scored a 49 ex 50 which cant be bad.
