They were all originally sold with a brass fitting that you could screw on to the end of the cylinder to safely empty it. The rifles are often sold on without this. There must be some lying around doing nothing after rifles have been sold.
Hello to the HW 100 men, I seem to remember someone/company advertising a device that allowed one to discharge the pressure from the air cylinder with out firing it until it is empty . Not sure if I am dreaming this so I thought I would ask the question. Thanks

OK Thank you Micken, I brought mine s/hand some time back and didn't get that tool , I am in need of one now as I am changing the cylinder. Has anyone got one
I could buy ? I will pay all costs. Thanks again. John
Thanks for that but I am changing the tube (not the ends) , so I need to discharge it so I can dismantle it.
You should be able to buy the de-pressurising cap as a spare. It is listed by Bagnall and Kirkwood (£12 but out of stock), Chambers £18.00 (part no PW237) and apparently in stock and John Knibbs (part 2706k) out of stock at £21. Might be cheaper to dry fire - if that is safe?!
@pushbikeman I've sent you a pm with some info.
Thanks for all the help on this subject, I am now all sorted and on my way .
Why not just shoot it dry!!!!
