Hi all, which is the most consistent pellet, for long range shooting?
I guess it is different between PCP and springer!!

That's impossible to answer, even rifles of the same make & model can differ in which pellets they prefer.

Best thing is to buy pellet trial packs although JSB Exacts are generally hard to beat. Generally.

Most modern pellets are fine at range
Stick to around 16 grains is my advice

You can narrow it down by stating what rifle you have - and calibre, and people with the same rifle can tell you what they use. Then you can test those, and also in differing sizes. For instance many of the better pellet producers offer .177 In .450, .451, .452, .453

There are various sellers who will sell you tester packs of 10 or 20 of each kind of pellet you choose so you don't have to buy a whole tin of each.

Sorry bud, you have to do the leg work on this one for your own gun, as everyone's is different Even batch numbers of the same pellet make a difference when your getting pedantic, and sometimes a crap gun can be a golden goose with the right pellet. My only steer would be stick to the big brands and forget all the fringe ones along with anything flat/pointed/hollow etc. A domed pellet will always out perform these on ultimate accuracy over distance cool:

Start with JSB/AA/H&N/Bisley/Crossman etc. and your on your way, but even those would give you 30+ pellets to try in either .177 or .22 given the depth of their offerings
