    Shorty 22-40

Started as a fun exercise but turned out good little shooter. Cozzamec on here wanted to shorten a 2240, so we cut it down to use 8grm CO2. I shortened and crowned the barrel, cut back the main tube and recut the thread inside for the cap. Also drilled the cap inside where the capsule sits. Cozzamec then assembled and refinished it. Roller type trigger, power adjuster and oversize safety etc. Shoots 2.5 to 4.5 ft lb with adjuster and can get one ragged hole groups in my garage length. Can't really call it a snubby, I think the only way to do that is by cutting out the capsules completely and making a sealed cylinder bulk fill.

That is really nice. It looks a bit like a Webley Tempest. I hope someone does it commercially as they would sell. Out

    Like a modern Benjamin 250.

Pity, really, that the 8g bulbs fell by the wayside.

If they had stayed in use, as well as “shorties”, we could have had a Colt 1873 replica with a genuine 1873-pattern grip, not a thinly-disguised longer 1860 Army one, and a Walther PPK BB replica that was more like a real PPK than the Umarex PPK/S.

And various other replica smaller classic revolvers and autos. Chiefs Special, Detective Special, Colt 1908, Beretta 1934, Glock 26/27, Detonics Combat Master/Colt Officers Model. Etc.

Come to think of it, that might be a good niche for one of the cross-over airsoft/BB makers.

Looks like a compact little bundle of fun; nice one.

Saw a similar-ish one at a Boinger Bash a few years ago that Tinbum had done; I think alanok bought it?
