    Quick quiz 2

    Quick quiz 2

What was advertised and roughly when, as making "a strong appeal to the intelligence" in "these troublous times". (Is that even a word!)?

Well, it's definitely a word. Quite an old one, in fact.

    Hmmmm....,

Well, ‘Troublous times’ sounds like a war, ‘a strong appeal to the intelligence’ sounds too wordy for WW2 so maybe WW1?

What airgun was available in WW1 that could appeal to the intelligence?

Westley Richards Highest possible? BSA LJ? If it was an airgun that is.....

Anyone know about the “steel-faced wall target, paint and brush”?

Somewhere I had an image, it may have been from a 1930's Parker Hale Catalogue of the paint tin, I presume the target would be one of several fixed bell types that BSA retailed, again shown in their catalogues, perhaps have a wander over to Dannys resource where they will be no doubt.

As for a boxed set with all the above, rocking horse dod do's but I expect that one or more is out there to come to light one day hopefully!

You’re right. The 1921 flyer includes a picture of the BSA non-drying paint tin and associated brush. Wonder if any survived?
