    Diana boys gun

    Hi all,

37 years ago i was given a little youth diana break barrel air rifle.
Black and silver with a plastic sliding safety catch on the side, the barrel was not solid, it was a tube inside a larger tube.
    It has long gone now.
I would love to find out what model it was so i could perhaps buy another.

Any ideas on what model it might of been?

    Cheers J

Somehow the vintage gallery had neglected to include this wondrous example of British gun-making...

    I know what you mean.

On the other hand (John Walter was a bit of a fan, but I’m not sure I fully trust his judgement), it let Milbro in 1978 repackage the earlier model 15’s parts in a modern-looking style, and with much better safety features. A sort of springer equivalent of what Crosman and Daisy were doing with cheap pumpers.

Of course, in the U.K. especially, the idea of the pistol-power “boy’s gun” was out of fashion by then, as even younger boys wanted “full hunting power” because they’d read a copy of AGW and their mate’s older brother had a Webley Hawk.

    Golly, that’s quite a thing.

It couldn’t look any more 1980 if it had a perm and was eating spangles
    Morally flawed
