Revolver front sight profile ?
Time to adjust my Remington 1858 front sight, i brought it down a bit a few years ago and just left it square while i sorted the load but its time for a final adjustment and i want to profile it.
My understanding is the front sight profile should be in the "spirit of the original" but i can't find anything more specific.
I would like to keep the back square and round the front but im not sure if that would be competition legal.
something like this

As far as MLIAC (sp?) i donīt think thatīd fly.
The stock thing is just simply rounded off at the top.
For any 1858 style gun the measurement to go for is approx 8mm atop the top flat of the barrel. Thatīll put you ball park at 25 meters.

Thanks, i will play safe and just round it.
