Three more Meteors to make a collection from Mk1 to 6
Morning Chaps,
I was musing over what rifles to purchase in the coming year and have come up with two that I cant stop obsessing over. First is a QB57 or 58, does anyone own one of these quirky little things and how old are they please? I am guessing 1980s? I will be adding one of those to the collection for sure in the new year.
Second one is a Diana 27.... I will have a go at finding the early 1/4 stock one and if funds allow I will find a later one. I did promise myself that I would never nother with the older stuff but the look of them is growing on me ...
What will you chaps be searching for? I need to know!
Three more Meteors to make a collection from Mk1 to 6
Oh yes Dorn, Meteors are great underated rifles.
My goal is to end the year with substantially fewer airguns than I start it
Don’t laugh.
Morally flawed
What are the chances of that happening Jerry?
I have been looking for a cheap MK4 Meteor in .177.... I have plans to make a carbine with air stripper... should look good on the wall.
2023 Goals ?
A mint Webley MKIII Supertarget without" Supertarget " engraved on the cylinder.
I cant remember the last time I saw a MK3 let alone a target version Sam... good luck with that, lets hope one turns up for you.
My goals are to:
-only buy really interesting guns, no more dust collectors into the "collection". (unless they are VERY cheap )
-try Maccaris HW35 Custom spring in the HW80
-try Maccaris UK soft spring in the HW50/99 and the Webley Vulcan
-build a well performing Gamo CF-30 carbine from the heap of leftover CF-parts
-find a 25mm comp tube for the HW 77k
Too many airguns!
Probably still looking to add to my prewar military trainers.
1. Holy grail woul be an impossible find: The Diana 58 first model
2. Haenel 33 and Mars 115 but at a reasonable cost. These can go for crazy money here in the US.
Evert... the CF30 will be nice, I have been following your work with the CFX so I'm sure your next venture will be thorough!
45... I had to google those guns as I have never heard of them, good luck.
No purchasing goals for me for 2023.
I just need to shoot the guns I currently own more and make a start on some springer fettles.
