You can usually use standard pellets up to about 30ftlb. Over that they can deform so slugs are needed. I would start with Air Arms or Exact. I use Air Arms in an FX Cyclone running at 28ftlb and they perform well.
Evening all,
I have just purchased an AA S410 classic in .22 FAC and am wondering what the most suitable Ammo for long range target would be. Not Chrono'd it myself yet but was putting out 29 ftlbs apparently.
Hoping to avoid endless testing of a plethora of pellets to get somewhere near.
It is defo a classic Not the FAC Extra.
Many thanks.

Gives my pellets wings
AA Field works beautifully in my S10 at around 28ftlb.
Might be best to get it turned down a bit so it shoots standard 18 or 16 diablos ..
An early 20s 22 fac will shoot as flat as a uk 177, they don't shoot much flatter or 'further' until quite a lot more power from my limited fac air knowledge -
