The forend is for a long rifle do you think the front section is the same as the front section of the carbines forend, if so I could cut it off and glue it to the rear section of the forend which is ok, from the barrel band to the action which would make a complete forend.

One of the Bisley exhibitors that specialised in wood used to manufacture wooden stocks of all sorts.
The only trouble is I cannot remember the name of the company. There main business was green oak house manufacture.
They were always located down the left hand side looking from the front of the Pavilion in a large trailer at right angles to a row of sellers.
I know they had Martini Henry stocks on show. as well as other shooting related items.
So this might not help but you never know.
