I used to collect Webleys I found that the vast majority of pre war pistols were in .177 rather than .22. I had 12 wood grip MK 1 pistols at one stage and only 1 was in .22. I always think that pistols are better to shoot in.177 rather than .22

I agree I much prefer the .177,but in this case I couldn't choose as there aren't any mk2 targets left for sale in this condition,hopefully at some point a .177 barrel may pop up

It's just 99% of the targets I've seen are in .177 so curious how many are about in .22

Of 12 Mk II's I've had, 5 were in .22 - it's possible that here in the USA the larger caliber was more desired.

I much prefer .177 aswell but .22 seemed to be the preferred calibre,so alot of vintage stuff is .22
It's just that most of the mk2 targets I've seen are .177 but the one I've just got is .22,not that it matters as it will rarely be shot to preserve the condition,I was just curious if anybody knew what the ratio of .177 to .22 was
