    Bonehill brittania serial numbers

    Hi.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I’m trying to find a website or book that will tell me dates for Bonehill brittania serial numbers.

    Thanks forreading this message.

Approximately 4000 made between 1905-1908 so maybe 1300 a year.

    Hi Kevin,

What did you want to know? I've studied the Britannia models in some detail and may be able to help.

    Kind regards,

    John

Is anyone compiling a list of serial numbers? I have recently taken ownership of S No 735, 2nd pattern ( no cheek pieces either side of cocking lever) no hole for sear adjustment and 2 leaf back sight. ( There is a hole blanked off for an adjustable sight).

    Thank you.

Is is a .177 or .25 and is it marked Anglo Sure Shot?

Are there any markings on the rearsight leaves?

    John
Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01, T09, T21, T22
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.

    Thank you.

If you get a chance, I'd appreciate some clear close up images of the rearsight, the leaves and the blanked off hole you mention.

Your example dates from around the time the rearsight changed from folding leaves to the short lived sprung leaf rearsight and it would be good to see if the leaves are original.

    J M's Britannia list

    John,
Have you got my Britannia, Sn 2216, on your list? If not & you'd like the details please let me know. I got if from Tim D seven years ago. A lovely little rifle.
    Cheers, Glyn

    You're welcome John.
Any rough idea how many Britannias are still in existence?
