The curves and elegance have been lost to a bygone age?

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
I have an Airlogic Genesis and think it's lines are quite nice, but hate the stocks on modern BSAs
Mmm. Maybe
Could a straight grip webley or a Titan really be called works of art though? They look like an early engineering sketch brought to life to me. They have a period appeal but otherwise I think they are (whispers) pretty ugly really.
The quality of materials is higher in old airguns, but there were some munters then as now.
Morally flawed
My favourite for form, lines and just general wow thats nice would have to be a slant grip senior or a premier.
The ackvoke is quite purposeful but not so elegant
More modern stuff may work better or worse but is invariably less inspiring to look at
Gun control means using both hands.
In my opinion the art of spring pistol aesthetics peaked a long time ago (not mine unfortunately)

No question going back further takes it up a level at times!
I LIKE old stuff but I.S.P. make works of art !
One of the nicest guns out there is the BSA Cadet Major. Proportionally it is perfect, and the way the trigger block blends with the lines of the stock is genius. As guns they shoot so well, and are made of top quality materials so their survival rate is good.
Got to be one of the best looking guns ever. Simple , Classic lines .

I couldn’t agree more about the aesthetics of the BSA Cadet Major and the unique sound of the gun going into battery after cocking takes me right back to when I received one as my Christmas present in 1959. Another elegant BSA air rifle common at the time was the Airsporter, but probably a bit too much gun for me at that tender age.

Gunmakers and engineers are not entirely the same animals.
