In year's gone by I have had a few different Kassnar scopes and they were very good for what the were , I stopped using thme because I could not find the spec I wanted at the time in the Kassnar range.
I needed another scope like an hole in the head but just had to rescue an old Kassnar 4 x 40 WA which needed a loving home. These old scopes never fail to surprise me with how clear they are and a great field a view from back in the 80's. I know Dave Pope always used them during his FT and hunting days back then and you could always see one on his rifle in the magazines back in the day.

I had 4x32 with spirit level, fantastically clear glass with quick focus

The spirit level was the Beta 3 range. I remember Dave P selling me a 4 X 32 for my venom 80 back in 1983. Good old days. Mach 1.5
I have a few of these, I like the 4x40 with the graduated reticule....I also have 3x9 x56 that's a whopper!!
I have a couple of parallex adjustable Kassnar’s 2-7 and 3-9 they are fitted now on my Airmasters 77 and 80. I think they are the right scopes for these rifles, I would love to have a couple more but you just never see them.
I've also noticed the mag seems a little higher than stated compared to Tasco. Mach 1.5
very good scopes
I wish I still had it being honest, still have the Swarovski Habicht 4x32 Nova I bought in 1985, last sitting on my ISP Spartan in Hilver mounts

These are badged scopes from Japan. The first year or so they seemed very clear and really good, if a bit expensive. It seems to me they then changed to keep to the target market price range; a change for the worse.
The Beta range were their premium range.
Well, I've seem too many broken ones, including Beta examples. Their paint didn't hold up to much either and most now look tatty. To me the better early Tascos were as good if not better. I can't get excited about them.
Now if anyone has a Tasco Euro, before they changed to a Titan/Mg 5 then they were great. I'm keeping a look out for a 4-16x40 Tasco TR too, the one with a plex not rangefinder reticule.
