Spring Bash 4th and 5th May 2024

It'll be good to see you again Alistair and to see some of your beautiful classic rifles in action

I've got to make the most of the May and September gatherings, as I'll miss the August one.
The current Mrs Clogger doesn't fancy spending our 40th wedding anniversary weekend with me at the Bash
She's usually a very tolerant lady, but the suggestion of it prompted some very black looks
I'd even offered to put a better scope on the HW30 for her!

Yup I've definitely had more than.just a few in Sheffield Tap, while waiting for drinking buddies to arrive!
Then slowly work our way up the the road opposite the railway station, The Howard,, The Graduate etc etc

Yep, I had a walk up that road. Past The Howard (to my right), which looked inviting enough. Saw one called The Globe, I think, a craft union one, which looked very traditional and tempting and also one called The Roebuck. Also a few more modern looking ones. Ended up just the other side of the Peace Gardens area and then turned round and headed back. There seems to be a lot of building / rejuvenation work going on in that centre.

Just transfered funds for the weekend attendance and camping to Neil, and I'm really looking forward to the first Bash of the year.
Now got to decide which rifles to take - I always put 9 or 10 in the car and only use half of them

August being my Birthday would mean bring cake but thats a way away still, need to figure out May still, as it stands I'm getting closer to gettting the BSA upgraded just some hiccups stopping stuff being got out the way for cleaning up to prevent dirt ingress.
Also got the stuff now to Custom paint a Blackwidow frame so will have a couple of Cattys on me if I get there, do defiately need some time away from here thats for sure.

Going to try & book those fridays off tomorrow, then I'll have to find someway of spinning it to the wife

Well I did buy a tent & sleeping bag etc etc last year so I need to justify the out lay

Best of luck with getting the time booked off and getting your pass stamped. You're going to love coming along to them all. The worst part is the long wait after the September one until the following May's meet-up.
