Daystate MK3 Info Wanted
Hi Guys,
I have a Daystate MK 3 S/No 0825 which is also an FAC. rated. I have also looked on their website and it appears it is an RD manufactured in June 2004 but for the same serial number it also comes up with 6 others but because they are later dates I guess it is because they have an additional prefix.
Any way what is the voltage they run at. I found one figure at 15 volts and one at 12volts and my charger says 12 volts. Battery is reading 10.1 volts.
Is it Knackered and requiring replacement? If so I believe there are battery replacement companies that can replace the battery cheaper than the Daystate listed price, are these viable and if so anybody got a name and address/telephone number please?
Many thanks for any help regards Bb9

Years ago when I had a MK3, the batteries (soldered to the PCB) wouldn't charge up anymore, so I converted it to run on a standard 9 volt PP3 battery. It would do roughly 800 shots per battery. With yours being FAC it will still be OK as its the capacitor and diodes that boost the voltage required for your FAC power.

The old battery from my Mk3 non FAC is 8.4 volts, it is a 17 year old rifle and still works fine. New batteries can be purchased from Strikalight
