The Webley Hawk Mk 2 has the best safety catch ever.

My modern Weihrauch is far better made than my '80's examples.

It’s best to start a junior on a cheap, light rifle like a Whiscombe. Once they’ve got the hang of its heavy bouncy recoil and crude open sights it’s time to move on to something of quality like a Gamo. It can then be passed on to another kid. Must be 50 per cent of shooters started off with a ‘Whizzer’, even though it’s a British gun it can hit cans out to 10 yards. Fun for all.
