Nick Simmons does it mate - and I dare say NickG could sort it too
Got a project HW and want a LW barrel fitting. Mr Pope used to do this for me but who's around now days to carry out the job? Mach 1.5

Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
Thanks Craig. Mach 1.5
Not sure if Nick G can do it, as I did ask once and he was unsure if he would be able to do it but there's no harm in asking again.
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
Paul Short re barreled my tx from 22 to 25 using a barrel blank
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Yes still want to do a HW55 in .22 cal. Got all the bits just need the craft person to carry out the job. Mach 1.5
As Jon says it will be a real labour of love!! You must be bonkers Paul.

[QUOTE=Shed tuner;8303579]A TX200 is about 10x less work than doing a break barrel HW
I did this HW, but too much work... unless you really need something weird and wonderful, it's just not worth it... but knowing Paul
Thanks for sharing. Thought the HW blocks all had the barrel pinned. Can't see one on yours
Well I know they are pressed in, and some have a nut too. Whether they are pinned as well, who knows. So I just machined the old barrel out of the block, reducing the diameter towards the breech to clear the pin & save unnecesary swarf !
I certainly didn't see any evidence of a crosspin when peering down the machined out block, and I didn't feel it on the cutter either.
