A friend is having problems, unspecified, with his 2240. I wondered if there are any specialists in the Warwickshire, Leicestershire areas.

If you could ask and find out what is wrong with it, we should be able to advise and steer on a home repair. The 2240 is a simple beast and easy to work on.

If he really doesn't want to try and repair it himself, not knowing the area too well I'm not sure where to advise.....Maybe give Solware at Tamworth a try? Pretty sure they'd have someone there who could do it, or someone they send guns to for repair /servicing.....

Get him to join & ask on here. I've had a 2240 for a while (see avatar) & had it to bits many times.

They are very simple bits of machinery & there is only so much that can go wrong with them, and then it's usually a seal.

As previous two posts, easy to work on, how does he mean unspecified? Is it leaking or not cocking etc?

Hi Waddy, admiring the wood grips. I’ve just replace a 2240 that I let go years ago. I’m looking for something similar. Could you advise? Cheers.
