    TX200 silencer

Having just got my new TX200, I want to get a decent silencer for it. I know some think they are a waste on a springer but I dont. What do people recomend??

If it's a Mk3, do you really need the extra? 'cos the shroud makes it a bit tricky, if it's the carbine, no probs, but then it's just as long as a MK3. (Old argument..! )

Just done an experiment as suggested re spring against PCP.

Got my oppo to fire 410 and TX200hc, both silenced, whilst I stood down the target end (behind a bank as it happens...not totally daft).

    The result was interesting.

There was hardly (if any) difference in audible, just a swish of pellets going through the ether.

We were firing into a bulk compost heap as a backstop, so there was very little pellet strike noise to confuse things.

So from a quarry point of view, it seems worth fitting it, and the weight/length difference, is not really worth worrying about IMHO anyway

I used a Bisley silencer on the 200hc, but it started to pull apart slightly. The 410 is fitted with a logun silencer. The Bisley is going back and I will pay the extra and get an AA silencer.

So there you go, try AA
